March Workday Feature Release recap

Workday issues two major updates, called “Feature Releases,” per year. The first Feature Release of 2024, also called “R1,” took place March 8-9.

During a Feature Release, Workday implements a series of system updates, improvements, and new features. Prior to each Feature Release, Modernization Team works diligently to identify and implement specific updates that will improve Workday for WSU.

Learn more about the updates implemented during the recent Feature Release below:

  • A new location for Announcements on the Workday Home page
  • A new HR Partner Hub
    • The new HR Partner Hub provides HR partners with a single point of access to workforce movement information, and to reports and dashboards most relevant to their work.
  • Updates to the user interface for Review & Submit Time
    • A new pop-up enables users to view a summary of their time entries without obscuring the calendar, allowing for easier reviewing prior to submitting time.
  • Improvements to pop-ups and Quick Review functionality
    • Several new interface enhancements to pop-ups and Quick Review functionality improve navigation and access to details for select business processes and pop-up functionality.

In addition to the updates users can see when they log in to Workday, many changes during a Feature Release also happen behind-the-scenes.

If you have questions or concerns about new or updated features in Workday, reach out at the Workday Service Desk.
