Keynotes & Closing

Change is the only constant in life—so goes the famous saying—and at WSU we have plenty of examples. Work from home, colleagues leaving and joining us, a steady stream of new software to learn, non-stop updates to existing technology. No wonder some of us are losing our hair at a rapidly increasing rate!

In their easy-going style, Gerik Kimble and Paul Fleming McCullagh, from Modernization, share how embracing change benefits you along with practical advice for how to manage change for your teams.

P.S. If you’re looking for tips on how to accept your growing bald spot, Gerik has you covered there too!

At its heart, project management is about organizing the work your team needs to do, removing the roadblocks that impact the project, and keeping everyone up to date so there are no surprises. All with the intent of finishing the project on time and within budget.

Which sounds simple, but can be hard to do in practice.

In his relaxed style, Paul Fleming McCullagh shares his lessons learned from over 10 years managing projects in higher education to help you deliver projects on time, with the promised features, and within budget. And most importantly, to do it in ways that encourages your colleagues to want to work with you again and again.

You’ve spent a couple of happy days at the conference and your notebook’s full of new ideas and tips and tricks. Now what?

Laura Hamilton and Paul Fleming McCullagh share steps and strategies to take the skills you learned at the conference and put them into action.
