Known Issue: Workday Outage

Known Issue: Workday is currently unavailable. The service will be restored as quickly as possible.

Time to resolution: 2:30pm, 11/2

Update: Access to Workday is restored and employees can login.

At 1:30 pm, Workday notified customers that their full stack restart of all customer tenants was progressing as planned, estimating access to customer tenants should be restored by 5 p.m. or earlier today, 11/2. As of 2:30 p.m., members of the Modernization team were able to access Workday.

We will provide an update when Workday announces that service has been officially restored to all customers. In the meantime, employees are welcome to attempt to log in to the system. Please understand that service may not yet be fully restored. 

Payroll lock update: Payroll Services understands community concern regarding payroll lock, and is developing a contingency plan to resolve any issues resulting from the Workday outage. More details and instructions will be provided soon via the Payroll listserv. We will provide another update on payroll as soon as more information is available.


Details: Our Workday data center experienced a power outage causing Workday to be unavailable. Workday has confirmed the power has been restored and their teams are restoring servers and services as quickly as possible.

Modernization apologizes for the frustrations experienced due to this outage. We are aware that today is paylock and Payroll Services are being kept informed of the situation.
