Elevating Cougs: Know before you go!

It’s almost time for the 2023 Elevating Cougs conference, hosted by Modernization and HRS’ Learning & Organizational Development. We’re looking forward to gathering virtually with 500+ registered Cougs from across the university October 19 & 20. We hope you’ll join us!

If you plan to attend, here’s what you should know before you go:

The Zoom events platform

Elevating Cougs is a 100% virtual event held via the WSU Zoom events platform. The conference platform is currently live. Registered attendees* may access the conference platform, and explore and bookmark sessions to create their conference experience. On conference day(s), attendees will return to this platform to join their sessions.

To get started, ensure you’re logged into your WSU Zoom account. Then, visit the Elevating Cougs platform here, or by following the individual link sent to each registered attendee from Zoom. To learn how to locate and bookmark the sessions you’d like to attend, follow the instructions in this article.

*Note: While the conference main page and lobby are accessible to all WSU staff, you must be registered in order to bookmark and attend sessions. Haven’t registered? Sign up here to gain full access to sessions.

Sessions and conference tracks

Elevating Cougs features three learning tracks and over 80+ unique sessions. Unsure of which sessions you’d like to attend? Explore the conference schedule and session descriptions outlining learning opportunities based on your job duties or areas of interest.

Ground rules & etiquette

Let’s work together to ensure Elevating Cougs is a positive, supportive learning environment for all. We ask that attendees practice respectful, constructive conduct and conversation throughout the event, and while using the platforms’ chat and Q&A features.

Q&A, session materials, and recordings

During each session, attendees may submit their own questions, or up-vote others’, using the platform’s Q&A feature. A general chat is available on the conference Lobby page. Please be aware that the Zoom events platform does not enable attendees’ video and audio.

If you have urgent or sensitive questions or concerns about matters presented during the conference, reach out to Modernization at the Workday Service Desk (for Workday Success Stories sessions), or to HRS’s Learning and Organizational Development (for Developing or Leading as a Coug sessions) at hrstraining@wsu.edu.

Following the conference, sessions will be available as recordings via Percipio. Please allow up to a week for all session recordings to become available.

If you have questions about the conference, or accessing the Zoom events platform, please reach out to Modernization’s Change Management Lead, Paul Fleming McCullagh at p.fleming-mccullagh@wsu.edu, or submit a ticket to the Workday Service Desk.

See you at Elevating Cougs!
