Second 2024 Feature Release coming September 20-21
Workday issues two major updates, called “Feature Releases,” per year. The second Feature Release of 2024, also called “R2,” takes place September 20-21, 2024.
During a Feature Release, Workday implements a series of system updates, improvements, and new features. While hundreds of new features and enhancements are available during a Release, we work to identify and implement specific updates that will improve Workday for WSU.
We’ve already begun work on improvements to areas including:
- Time & Absence
- Benefits
- Recruiting
- Payroll
- Change Job
- Grant Management
- Reporting
- General system performance
- User interface and accessibility
Many changes during a Feature Release happen behind-the-scenes, in addition to those users can see when they log in to Workday.
As we approach the Feature Release, we will provide additional information about any high-impact changes to business processes or the look and feel of Workday on the Modernization website’s Feature Release Hub. We’ll also provide a detailed recap of new and updated features following R2 in the October Workday Digest.
