Known Issues and Resolutions moving to Workday Knowledge Base & Service Desk

Beginning Friday, May 3, all information related to currently active and future Known Issues for Workday and other Modernization projects will move from the Modernization website to the Workday Knowledge Base and Service Desk. Visit the new home of Known Issues here.

The new location of Known Issues and Resolutions allows WSU to better protect sensitive Workday information intended only for active users by placing this information behind Single Sign On (SSO).

With this move, we’ve also taken the opportunity to make several enhancements to how we communicate about Known Issues and Resolutions. Each Known Issue will continue to receive a dedicated page with detailed information regarding effected functionality or data, status or resolution, impacted Security Roles, and available workarounds. In addition to these individual pages, a new Known Issues landing page streamlines information about issues by:

  • Providing a summarized list of the 30 most recently identified Known Issues on a single landing page, including the date and time of the latest update.
  • Implementing the following status labels to help employees quickly identify the progress of an issue:
    • “Active” indicates an issue that is still ongoing and awaiting resolution. Please note that issues labeled “Active” may have effective workarounds available.
    • “Resolved” indicates an issue that is no longer active, for which a resolution or fix has been identified and applied.

Placing Known Issues within Jira/Confluence also allows users to search for and access Issues directly from the Workday Service Desk or Knowledge Base without leaving these platforms, as well as navigate between an Issue and related reference materials more seamlessly.  

We will continue to provide information about Known Issues directly within Workday via Workday Announcements, or, in the case of a major service interruption, via email. To receive communications about major Known Issues by email, be sure you are subscribed to the Workday Digest.

Information about past Known Issues with a status of “Resolved” will be located in the Workday Archive on the Modernization website.
