Issue Resolved: Impacts to Viewing Workday Reference Guides

Resolved Issue: The Workday Reference Guides are now available through the Workday Service Desk.

Update: 3:17 pm 3/21/24 – ITS installed a fix and the guides are now visible through the Workday Service Desk.

Action Needed: If you still see an error message or the content does not load, you may need to reset your browser cache.

Known Issue: Modernization and ITS are aware of an issue impacting employees’ ability to access Workday reference guides in Jira and Confluence.

Impacted Security Roles: All Workday users

Details:

Following the application of a security patch to Confluence on the evening of March 19, Workday Reference Guides, when viewed through the Workday Service Desk, are currently unavailable. ITS is actively working to fix the problem, however, the time to resolution is currently unknown.

This issue only impacts access to reference guides. Tickets submitted to the Workday Service Desk still function and route correctly.

Workaround:

The current workarounds are available for employees needing access to a Workday reference guide:

• Users may submit a Workday Service Desk ticket to request a PDF of the guide, or guides, they need access to.
• Workday Reference Guides can still be accessed by a limited number of users via the Workday Materials guide in the Knowledge Base in Confluence. This guide contains a full list of all Workday guides and working links.
  • Note: If you are unable to access guides via this method, please follow the first workaround method by submitting a ticket requesting the materials you need.
