Issue Resolved: Workday Federated Search – no more errors reported

Issue: On the afternoon of Friday, November 17, we received a report that when using Workday Search, a WSU user received the following error: “The widget ‘federatedSearchResults’ was not found! It is probably configured incorrectly.”

As of 11/20, no more errors have been reported.

Details:

If users experience an error when using the search in Workday, they can use one of the following workarounds below:

  • Clear your browser cache
  • Use an alternate browser
  • Switch from Federated to Classic Search using the steps outlined in this reference guide, or follow the instructions below:
    1. Select your profile icon in the top right of the Workday screen
    2. Select “My Account” from the menu
    3. Select “Change Preferences”
    4. In the “Search Preferences” section, remove the “New Workday Federated Search” from the Workday Search Provider field and select “Classic Workday Search”, or vice versa
    5. Log out and log back in again
