Resources and support available for new Absence Calendar experience

On May 4, 2024, Modernization launched the new Absence Calendar experience in Workday, updating the look and feel of several key Absence pages and tasks. Learn more about these changes here.

Following launch, we’ve received positive community response to these updates, including reports of a more intuitive, easier, and faster experience managing time off in Workday. If you’ve shared your experience with us, thank you!

We’ve also received helpful feedback regarding the need for clarification around how to use some aspects of the functionality, including how to enter time off through the Time Entry Calendar. Employees can find detailed guidance on performing this task in the “Request Time Off from the Time Entry Calendar” section in the Employee Request and Correct Time Off reference guide.

Resources are available to help all employees who request time off or leave of absence in Workday learn how to navigate and use the updated Absence Calendar and related functionality. These materials include (but are not limited to):

For Employees

For Time Approvers, HR Partners, and Timekeepers

Support is available for employees who may need additional assistance in using these updated features or accessing reference materials. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to the Modernization team at the Workday Service Desk.
