Prepare for launch: New Absence Calendar experience coming May 4
On May 4, 2024, we’re launching several major enhancements to the Absence Calendar in Workday which will make the way employees request and manage their absence quicker, easier, and more transparent. Learn more about what’s changing here.
These updates will change the look and feel of several key Absence pages and tasks, and impacts all employees who request time off or leave of absence in Workday. This includes Classified, Administrative Professional, Faculty, and hourly staff.
Ahead of launch, all employees who manage absences in Workday are encouraged to view this video walkthrough and tutorial in Percipio, which provides guidance on how to navigate and use the updated Absence Calendar and related functionality.
Employees who request and manage time off on behalf of employees should also view this video in Percipio to learn more about how these changes will impact your role, as well as how to perform certain tasks for roles such as HR Partner using the new functionality.
Time, Leave, & Absence training and reference materials located in the Workday Knowledge Base have been updated to reflect the changes to the Absence Calendar experience and are now live. These materials include (but are not limited to):

Office Hours will be offered Friday, May 10, to answer any questions employees may have about the new Absence Calendar experience.
