Modernization becomes new TouchNet administrator

We strive to continuously improve our business and financial services, processes, and systems to meet needs of WSU university-wide, including commerce solutions. In 2022, TouchNet was implemented as a new commerce application to support point of sale, cashiering, and student accounts for WSU departments.

As of December 1, 2023, the administration of TouchNet has been shifted from the Bursar’s Office to the Modernization team. We will continue to carry TouchNet forward by:

  • Being the primary administrator for the TouchNet project
  • Maintaining and optimizing the system
  • Providing customer support for all existing and future TouchNet users across the University

We will also provide communications and training on our platforms, including the Modernization website, and Workday Service Desk and Knowledge Base. We will share these new resources as they become available in the coming weeks.

We’ve assembled a TouchNet team who have already begun working through the transition with representatives from the Bursar’s Office and the WSU Commerce Committee. We are currently working to establish an understanding of existing TouchNet activities across WSU, and to develop partnerships with all current and prospective TouchNet customers.

A new Commerce platform on the Workday Service Desk has already been implemented for TouchNet customers. Effective immediately, TouchNet users and prospective customers should use this platform for all communication related to existing and potential TouchNet projects, including those previously in progress with the Bursar’s Office.

We’d like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation during this transition. Any questions and concerns may be submitted via the Workday Service Desk.
