New Salary Over the Cap email notifications for Grant Managers

We’ve recently launched a new integration that generates email notifications to Grant Managers identifying Principal Investigators (PIs) with upcoming payroll charges in excess of HHS salary cap requirements.

The intent of these email notifications is to support compliance with HHS salary cap requirements and our BPPM by providing notification of potential salary cap breaches before they occur.

Grant Managers can expect to receive an email if one of the following three scenarios applies:

1. A PI’s salary that will be charged to their HHS grant in the upcoming pay period, as currently calculated, will exceed the HHS salary cap rate.
2. A PI’s salary charged to their HHS grant exceeded the salary cap rate for the most recently completed pay period.
3. A PI’s salary charged to their HHS grant for the last pay period was less than the maximum allowed per the salary cap.
