Did you know delegation doesn’t carry from person to person?

Delegation is direct a link between two employees: the person responsible for the tasks and their delegate. It is not automatically carried from person to person. In order to perform tasks on behalf of an employee, you must be assigned as as their delegate.

Here’s an example: One employee, Person A, requests another employee, Person B, to have delegation security to their tasks. Person B then requests to delegate their tasks to an additional employee, Person C. Person C will not have access to Person A’s tasks, only Person B’s. If Person C needs to perform tasks on behalf of both Person A and Person B, they must be an assigned delegate for both those employees.
