Reminder: Certify effort
The following message went to the Research Admin Community (RAC) from Sponsored Programs Services on June 15.
As we approach the mid-point in the Spring 2021 effort period’s certification window, I want to share that, as of last night, we’re sitting at 33% certified. The deadline for certifying effort for Spring 2021 is July 20, 2021. After that point, grant worktags associated with uncertified effort will be inactivated until all associated effort is certified. Inactive grant worktags will not allow spend of any kind to post to them.
To track effort within your area, please use Workday’s Effort Certification Status Report. Using the “Costed or Supervisory Organizations” field will allow you to filter results to your cost center/hierarchy, region, or other relevant worktags.
For legacy continuing effort, we still have ~4k outstanding effort certifications of a possible ~21k dating back to Fall 2018. Please continue to send certified legacy effort to sps.effort@wsu.edu, particularly if they contain cost shared effort. We will no longer be able to produce reprints after 6/30/21, but we will continue to file legacy forms and make cost share entries.
