COVID-19 attestation made possible by Workday data 

Attestation is the process WSU employees use to verify that they don’t have symptoms of COVID-19 before they enter a WSU work location. Employees must submit a form each time they check in to a work location.

The form is sent to the employee’s supervisor. The process of attestation relies on information used to build supervisory organizations – aka organizational charts – in Workday to route the form to the correct person. WSU has not had data on reporting relationships before, so the form must pull data gathered for Workday. Supervisory organizations illustrate the reporting relationships between employees and their supervisors.

The process of attestation will help WSU manage and assess the spread of COVID-19. This is one way Workday will improve efficiency and change the workplace at WSU.
