New feature removes prior compensation when rehiring previously terminated workers

Beginning September 20, a new feature in Workday enables the rehire of previously terminated workers without reassigning or displaying compensation from their previous employment, when completing the Propose Compensation Hire step of the Hire process.

This feature allows those completing the Hire process to treat rehired workers as they would a new hire, by unassigning all compensation from a terminated worker’s previous employment upon rehire.

Workday will still retain a worker’s compensation history from their prior assignments and termination, but will no longer display or automatically populate this value during Hire processes.

This update is part of the September Feature Release. You can learn more about Feature Releases and what to expect by visiting the Feature Release Hub on the Modernization website.
