Enhancements to Modernization website coming soon

The Modernization website is the home of information about Workday and related projects at WSU. We strive to continuously improve this resource to better meet the needs of the WSU community, and to provide quicker and easier access to Workday updates and resources.

In response to feedback gathered during the 2024 Workday Training & Communications Survey, we are implementing a series of improvements to the Modernization home page and “Workday for…” training pages. These updates will streamline the pages to make finding the information and resources employees need quicker and easier, and include:

  • Reduced scrolling and increased ease of navigation through collapsible sections and carousels, and cleaner, less cluttered layouts.
  • A new “Who this page is for” section at the top of each training page, featuring tasks and roles the page is intended to support.
  • Streamlined content, including the relocation of information about security, delegations, and other universal tasks to a new “Workday Essentials” page.

These improvements will be released beginning Thursday, August 22, with the launch of the new Modernization home page, then throughout early Fall 2024 ahead of the Elevating Cougs conference.

Below is early feedback from members of the Workday Training Workgroup :

The new changes are fantastic and (we) really appreciate your continued commitment to making the Workday resources and guides accessible.

The draft page looks good. The biggest thing I personally am always trying to find quickly is a link to submit a ticket, and I was able to find that quickly on the new page.
