New MyResearch integration already reducing administrative burden

A new integration between Workday and MyResearch that launched July 12 has already helped reduce administrative burden for WSU staff involved in grant management, including departments.

Since launching, more than 30 new awards have been created automatically using the integration, contributing to the elimination of over 45 hours of manual data entry. According to an SPS setup specialist, when data is entered correctly in MyResearch, the integration saves them more than 90 minutes of time when setting up an award.

The time saved during the award setup process helps PIs start spending sooner, letting researchers focus on research. Grant managers also have more direct control over how their budgets are set up in Workday, making grant administration faster and more accurate.

Grant managers are encouraged to learn more about using the integration by reviewing the reference guide and recorded training session here.

We appreciate the feedback from grants management staff so far. If you have questions or feedback about the new integration, reach out at the Workday Support Desk.
