Issue Update: Workday Knowledge Base search restrictions

Known Issue: Not all users are able to see all search results when searching the Workday Knowledge Base. Because of this, we have removed the search bar. All users can still search for all Workday materials by using the search field on the Workday Service Desk.

Details: As reported previously, some users cannot see all results when searching the Workday Knowledge Base. These users can see the top 5 results that show up below the search bar as they type, but receive an error message when selecting “See more results for ‘[topic]’” rather than accessing a full page of results.

We’ve learned that this is a licensing issue: Only a user with their own license for the platform that hosts the Workday Knowledge Base (called Confluence) can view all search results. WSU is unable to grant individual licenses to all employees at this time. We recommend that all users visit the Workday Service Desk and use that search bar to find Workday materials, because it is functioning properly for all users and will display all results.
