Entering the Deploy stage
The University is about to enter the final stage before launching Workday: Deploy. This stage will run from October leading right up through December.
The deploy stage includes Workday training, as well as preparing the and Workday Service Desk. Cutover includes integrating data gradually instead of shutting down all the old systems at once.
Since WSU is transitioning from 40-year-old systems to a cloud-based system, it’ll be a big change for everyone. Upon launch, there may still be kinks that need to be worked out. It might be bumpy at first, but together we will learn Workday, resolve issues, and overcome challenges.
As a WSU employee, you will be supported at Workday’s launch and beyond. The Workday Service Desk will be available for you to submit questions.

After launch, the University will move into the Support stage, where the Modernization Team will continue to update and stabilize Workday for about a year. This allows for plenty of time to adapt to Workday.
