Major changes for technology

As WSU transitions to Workday in January, technology also will change to support the new software.

You might have heard “the cloud” referred to as a way to store information digitally either on your mobile device or computer. The Workday system will completely live in the cloud. This allows for easier storage, reduced system failures, and regular updates.

Just like you can access the cloud on your mobile device, you will also be able to use certain Workday features on your smartphone or tablet. For example, you could update personal information with Employee Self-Service from your phone.

In addition, Workday will eliminate the need to print stacks of reports. Employees can scan and upload documents to be stored in the cloud.

Lastly, multi-factor authentication (MFA) will improve University security, as well as ease the login process with Single Sign-On.
