May 2026 Scientific and Research Supply Project update
The Scientific & Research Supply project team continue to work diligently toward enhancing WSU’s scientific and research supply purchasing processes.
Work toward the following major project milestones are in progress or completed of early May, 2026.
Completed activities:
- Completed review of vendor proposals.
- Submitted and completed Best and Final Offer (BAFO).
- Vendor scoring and evaluation completed.
- Award selection for the named apparent successful vendor.
In-progress activities:
- Contracting with the selected primary vendor.
- Continued review and work on technical aspects of the punchout.
Upcoming activities:
- Three-day protest period completed (RCW 39.26.170).
- Onboarding and project initiation of the punchout with vendor representation.
These updates will be presented system leadership, deans, and additional key stakeholders to inform them of the selected vendor and discuss what to expect as we work to bring WSU’s new punchout system on board university-wide.
As we begin the implementation of the punchout system, we will continue to engage with members of the university community to ensure that this new system meets the needs of researchers and administrators at WSU. Resources will also be made available to support employees and researchers in making the switch to the new system.
