Tips & Tricks: Find your grants information using Dashboard GRA Principal Investigator

Principal Investigator (PIs) can easily access balance information for state accounts, grants and more in Workday by using Dashboard GRA Principal Investigator, which displays data based on Principal Investigator, Program View, and Gift View role assignments. 

Dashboard GRA Principal Investigator brings together data on a PI’s Grants, Programs, and Gifts to help them access balances, view who is being paid on their accounts, and other helpful links and information.

To get started, enter “Dashboard GRA Principal Investigator” in the Workday Search field, or look for Dashboard Principal Investigator on the Workday home page under “Your Top Apps.” Then, use the tabs at the top of the dashboard to access the following information:

  • Grant Financials
    • This tab displays information related to Grant balances and burn rate, including Cost Share.
  • Program and Gift Financials
    • This tab includes information related to Program and Gift revenue, expenses, and account balances.
  • Monitoring
    • This tab displays information related to terming Awards and Grants, a listing of active Awards, and Award Task information.
  • Personnel
    • This tab allows users to view who is being paid on their Grants, Programs, or Gifts, and flags workers whose costing allocations are close to expiring.
  • Subaward
    • This tab includes information related to active subcontracts like total contract amount and remaining balances.
