Prepare for January 2026 HR Mass Actions
In January 2026, HRS will process the following mass actions:
- Minimum Wage increase effective 1/1
- L&I Overtime Eligibility increase effective 1/1
For detailed information about these upcoming actions, including impacts to affected employees, helpful resources, and support contacts, please visit this comprehensive article on the HRS website.
Throughout January, the Modernization team will identify in-flight actions that may cause fallout during the mass actions. Human Resource Services will work with the relevant HR and Compensation partners of any out-of-deadline in-flight actions.
HR Partners, Compensation Partners, and Area Finance Officers are encouraged to review the January 2026 HCM Mass Action Timelines and Options guide which lists the select Workday staffing actions that are placed on hold during the central processing of the minimum wage and overtime threshold increases.
The guide details the impacted processes, employee types, dates, and the actions departmental HR professionals should take prior to and after the blackout dates.
To learn more about the three HCM Blackout Dates that happen during the calendar year and how they are handled in Workday, visit the Staffing and Compensation Blackout Information guide in the Workday Knowledge Base.
