Second 2025 Workday Feature Release coming 9/19-20

Workday issues two major updates, called “Feature Releases,” per year. The second Feature Release of 2025, also called “R2,” takes place September 19-20, 2025.

During a Feature Release, Workday implements a series of system updates, improvements, and new features. While hundreds of new features and enhancements are available during a Release, we work to identify and implement specific updates that will improve Workday for WSU.

On 9/20, enhancements and updates to the following areas will go into effect:

• Time & Absence
• Payroll
• Hire & Change Job
• Compensation
• General system performance

Many changes during a Feature Release happen behind-the-scenes, in addition to those users can see when they log in to Workday.
