Changes to the Submit Resignation business process
To improve the overall efficiency of employee separation processes, we’ve made two key updates to the Submit Resignation business process. These changes include:
- A new approval step for Department HR Partner.
- A new validation requiring the submitting employee to attach a copy of their resignation letter to the action.
These changes help ensure HR partners are involved in the resignation process as early as possible, with the opportunity to resolve or mitigate issues that arise from employee resignations.
Additionally, these updates reduce the number of process send-backs and requests to Modernization for processes to be corrected or rescinded.
Once complete, the process will continue to automatically initiate a Termination action on the submitting employee based on the dates approved in the Submit Resignation.
