Assignee Worktag retirement update

Beginning the week of May 18, 2026, Modernization will proceed with the first steps in retiring the Assignee worktag.

At this time, the relationship between the Assignee worktag and programs/gifts/grants will be removed, and the worktag will no longer be maintained. This will allow for additional work to commence as we work to pull this worktag out of our Foundational Data Model (FDM).

As a reminder, this worktag is separate from the Program/Gift/Grant “View” roles which drive the PI dashboard. More information about the PI Dashboard can be found in this post.

If you would like to capture these relationships before they are removed, please utilize the CR FIN Financial Related Worktags report in Workday to identify programs, gifts and grants with existing assignee worktag mapping.
