“Grant” added as Balancing Worktag

As of August 5, the “Grant” worktag is available in Workday as an additional Optional Balancing Worktag. This update helps prepare for the planned changes to the State of Washington reporting requirements as the state begins using Workday.

What does this mean for you?

This change will require manual accounting journals to have a grant worktag entered in the Optional Balancing Worktags field if the journal has more than one unique grant worktag on the journal lines. An error will occur if no worktag is entered.

Please note: Users must enter the Ledger and Balancing Fund before the Optional Balancing Worktags field becomes available to use.
