Two new Requisition and Purchase Order types available in Workday

Effective May 30, 2025, two new Requisition and Purchase Order types will be available in Workday, related to Confirming Purchases as outlined in BPPM 70.20. These new types include:

  • Confirming Requisition
  • Confirming Purchase Order

Both new types may only be selected under the express guidance of the central Procurement & Contract Services office. They should not be used unless directed by Procurement & Contract Services.

When selected, users must complete a questionnaire step which provides a required Confirming Memo Requirement form. The completed form may then be attached within the business process step and will then be routed within Workday to Procurement and Contract Services for review.

Updates have been made to the Create a Requisition and Create or Change a Purchase Order reference guides to include information regarding the new document types.
