Feature Release brings updates to Global Navigation menu

With the March Feature Release, Workday will introduce two updates to the Global Navigation menu, located in the upper left-hand corner of the Workday screen.

These updates include:

Shortcuts for Contingent Workers

With this update, Contingent Workers will have the ability to save Shortcuts and access the Shortcuts tab from the main menu.

New Saved functionality for all employees

A new Saved menu within the Global Navigation enables employees to access their saved content across Workday from a single location, reducing the time needed to find saved items.

Employees can now save and access these items in the Saved menu option on the Global Navigation menu:

• Career Hub – Saved Plan
• Favorites
• Shortcuts

Prior to this update, employees were only able to access their Shortcuts through the Main Menu, and Favorites were accessible only within their Profile menu. While both of these options will remain available, this update allows users to review their saved items from one centralized location.

Following the Feature Release on 3/15, we will publish updates to the Tools and Navigation reference guide and the new Manage Your Saved Items, Shortcuts, and Favorites reference guide with information regarding these new features.
