Changes to Hourly compensation Actual End Date beginning 12/1

Prior to December 1, 2024, the recommended setup for Hourly Compensation was to establish hourly employees’ compensation Actual End Date as the last day of the pay period. This was to ensure that if an hourly employee’s job and compensation ended mid-week, they would be paid for all hours entered during the final FLSA period.

Following a configuration update, moving forward, the Compensation End Date may now match the Employment End Date established on the position, rather than the end of the pay period or FLSA week. The system will now prorate the weeks based on compensation changes and pay all hours appropriately.

This change will not be applied to Work Study earnings. These earnings will continue to calculate as they have historically.
