Departments encouraged to review employees with over 1.0 FTE

In Workday, the number entered for scheduled hours per week per person, per position, calculates an employee’s anticipated Full-time Equivalent (FTE). An entry of 40 scheduled hours per week results in an FTE of 1.0. If an employee carries more than one position, they may have an FTE of over 1.0, such as 1.25. However, FTEs exceeding 1.0 should remain a rare occurrence.

HRS has identified 143 employees in Workday with FTEs greater than 1.25, and up to 2.25. To ensure employee’s FTEs accurately represented, departments are encouraged to review employees in their areas with FTEs exceeding 1.0 and make any necessary corrections to their scheduled hours.

To easily access a list of employees carrying greater than 1.0 FTE, departments may utilize the Workday report CR HCM Employees Over 1 FTE. Report security has recently been updated to allow those with the Appointing Authority role to access this report, in addition to HR partners.
