Improved PI Dashboard coming soon

Improvements to the existing PI Dashboard, “Dashboard GRA Principal Investigator,” are planned for release in May. These improvements are in response to Principal Investigator (PI) and Area Finance Officers (AFO) feedback regarding the need for faculty to be able to view state account and grant balances in a single convenient location.

The improved PI Dashboard will include worklets displaying the following:

  • Grant, Program, and Gift balances
  • Grant burn rates
  • Cost Share balances
  • Expiring costing allocations
  • Overdue or upcoming award tasks
  • Terming awards
  • Subcontract balances
  • Links to the PI’s active awards

This dashboard is designed for use by those holding the Grant Principal Investigator security role. Users who do not hold the Grant PI role will not be able to view results within the worklets above.

Upon launch, PIs may access the new dashboard from the Workday Home page under the “Your Tops Apps” section, in the location of the current PI Dashboard.

These changes were developed in collaboration with the Grants Reporting Workgroup, along with 8 Principal Investigators (PIs) representing 6 different colleges from across WSU. The Grants team would like to thank the following PIs for their contributions:

  • Hui Li – Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture
  • Hans Van Dongen – Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine
  • Eric Lofgren – Paul G. Allen School for Global Health
  • Amy Roth-McDuffie – College of Education
  • Sheryl McGrath – Washington Small Business Development Center
  • Tianna Dupont – CAHNRS Wenatchee Extension Center
  • Andrii Smertenko – CAHNRS – Institute of Biological Chemistry
  • Elizabeth Weybright – CAHNRS – Human Development

Questions or concerns regarding changes to the PI Dashboard may be submitted to the Workday Service Desk.
