Two new SPAR Guarantee request types now available

After receiving feedback from SPS and grant managers, we’ve split the SPAR Guarantee request into two different request types in Workday.

The two new request types are:

  • Requesting a new award on guarantee
  • Requesting a guarantee on an existing award

Each will have a questionnaire designed to help SPS more efficiently process the request, and to help save time by asking only the questions relevant for the type of guarantee needed.

We’ve updated the Create Sponsored Account Request reference guide, which can be found here.

The new request type can be found in the dropdown menu when you use the task Create Request.

The new request for guaranteeing an existing award follows the same business process as before.

Questions may be submitted to SPS or the Modernization grants team at the Workday Service Desk.
