Issue: Incorrect Internal Service Delivery rounding causing accounting imbalances

Known Issue: Internal Service Deliveries (ISDs) have allowed extended amounts rounded to 3 decimal places to be entered, causing imbalances in revenue and expense.

Estimated Time to Resolution: This issue has been resolved.

Details: We’ve learned that some Internal Service Deliveries have been created with extended amounts rounded to 3 decimal places (ex. $3.745) rather than 2 decimal places (ex. $3.75). This has caused negative downstream impacts.

In accounting, these partial pennies are causing imbalances between revenues (or budget) and expenses. On grants, the imbalances between revenue and expense are causing further downstream impacts in billing.

We have added custom validations in Workday to prevent amounts with 3 or more decimal places from being entered on Internal Service Deliveries moving forward, and are currently working to correct past Internal Service Deliveries where this issue was present.
