We’ve made a couple changes to how different Workday security roles interact with the Complete Federal Withholding Elections process to streamline cancellations and reduce confusion.
Employees can now cancel this process on their own
When a new employee onboards, they are prompted to complete their federal withholding elections. The employee can now cancel this business process on their own even if it is already in progress. Previously, employees had to reach out to Payroll Services to cancel this task for them.
Cancellation notices go to fewer people
Previously, holders of many different Workday security roles (including HR Partner, for example) received notifications when an in-progress federal withholding elections process was cancelled. To reduce confusion, we updated the business process so that only Payroll Services receives these cancellation requests when they are submitted by a manager after their employee is terminated.
