Changes to requesting Sick Time Off for hourly employees
As of April 1, 2021, hourly employees will no longer be able to request Sick Time Off through the Time Entry Calendar. Instead, hourly employees will request Sick Time Off through the Absence Calendar.
In addition, hourly employees holding multiple positions can now select a specific position when requesting Sick Time Off. This new functionality came with the most recent Workday Feature Release.
Sick leave balances will continue to accumulate in one bucket for hourly employees, and approval routing will remain the same as before. The only difference is that managers/time approvers will be able to see the position for which employees are requesting time off.
