Prototype 1 is here, and we need your feedback
The Modernization Team unveiled the first prototype of WSU’s new software for finance, payroll, human resources, and grants management at a day-long event on July 24. Modernization Team members demonstrated business processes in Workday software using WSU data for each of the four areas. An overview session at the beginning of the day highlighted milestones achieved and some new Workday concepts that will help transform how WSU does business.
At least 200 people Zoomed in to each of the four sessions throughout the day, peaking at 282 people. More than 150 people participated in person from the CUB Auditorium on the Pullman campus.
We heard great questions and feedback from the community. Major themes included questions about purchasing cards, travel, leave and absence, and accessibility in Workday. We’ve added additional content and resources to the Modernization website and launched a help desk – modhelp.wsu.edu – to answer these questions. Please check out our frequently asked questions for more information.
Even though we’re a year out from launching Workday for WSU, we wanted to give the community a preview of their new system’s look and feel. Thank you to everyone who participated! Your feedback is invaluable and helps shape a better system and processes for WSU.
If you missed the event or would like to revisit it, you can watch the recording here.
The Modernization Team is taking your feedback and working with Advisory Work Groups to refine Prototype 1. Stay tuned for the Prototype 2 Preview event in early October. More details to come.
