How to handle outstanding tasks when an employee leaves WSU

Did you know you can’t hold a delegation for a separated person?

Once an employee has separated from WSU, their Workday inbox can no longer be accessed via delegation. If a security role will be empty after an employee leaves WSU, work with your Security Partner to request the roles needed before the employee’s separation date. This will ensure business continuity for your unit.

If a position is assigned to be a supervisor of a supervisory org and that position becomes vacant, the supervisory org will inherit the manager from above. After the supervisor’s separation date (or the date their assigned position becomes vacant) any actions that would route to them for their supervisory role will route to the inheriting manager. This includes time worked submissions, leave requests, spend authorizations, and expense reports.
