New visibility into grants in reports

We’ve updated Workday so that everyone with the security role Financial Data View can now see more details related to grants in reports, including beginning and end dates.

Here is an example of reports you can run with the Financial Data View role:

• CR GRA Award Lines SPS Financial Summary
• CR GFT Budget to Actuals Summary
• CR FIN Core/Non-Core Program Financial Position Summary
• CR FIN Core Budget to Actuals Summary
• CR FIN Non-Core Budget to Actuals Summary

This is a much-requested feature that will help with financial tracking. Please keep in mind that if you have this role, you’ll only be able to see WSU-wide reports. This role does not give you access to all reports in Workday, only those tied to your job function and Workday security roles.

To find a list of the reports to which you have access, go to My Custom Report Library. You can run this as a report from the Workday Search field, and can also add it to your favorites. Here are instructions for how to add this worklet as a favorite on your home page in case it isn’t already there.
