Modernization working remotely during COVID-19
As WSU’s response to COVID-19 evolves, the Modernization Team is working remotely. It is not anticipated that this shift in work location will impact the project timeline.
Below are the ways we will ensure project activities remain on track.
Tools & Technology
Similar to the flexibility Workday will provide as a cloud-based platform, project team members use multiple online tools to continue daily work activities. Tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams allow project staff to hold video calls and collaboratively communicate.
Other tools used by the team include JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and SharePoint, all of which can be accessed from remote locations to enable continued progress.
Community Engagement
All Modernization community engagement events and meetings will be held using Zoom, which will allow attendees to participate from the convenience of their current work location.
The Modernization Team will continue producing the monthly newsletter and resources including blog posts, videos, and handouts.
Project Activities
Modernization Team members are preparing the system for User Acceptance Testing in late summer, preparing training materials, and building reports that will be needed for finance, human resources, grants, and payroll information.
