A new resource to share Modernization decisions

Modernization Initiative leadership has made multiple decisions for the Modernization project. These decisions will impact the majority of the University community and are available on the Modernization website. Information concerning several of these implementation decisions is listed below.

We encourage communication about implementation decisions across different areas. These PowerPoint slides are a great resource to share.

As Workday will launch in middle of the year and calls for accuracy transferring information from AIS to Workday, additional state income tax withholdings will not take place in 2020. WSU expects that employees will have the ability to select state income tax withholdings as of January 2021.

Because Workday will be replacing myWSU as the source to view and update personal and financial data, the general ledger function in myWSU will be activated. This measure will enable the integration of myWSU with Workday and will facilitate the day-to-day transfer of financial data. Right now, transferring information between myWSU and AIS requires the translation of item types in myWSU to AIS ledger codes. In the future, Workday ledger codes will be available in my WSU.

More details on state income tax withholdings, myWSU, and other key implementation decisions are available on the Implementation Decisions page.
