Intent to Award Announced

WSU recently completed a competitive RFP process for finance and human resource software (ERP), and has announced Workday as the apparent successful vendor. The selection was reached through a rigorous evaluation of written proposals performed by the 13-member evaluation team, broad feedback and input on software demonstrations from hundreds of faculty and staff across the University, reference checking with other institutions, and consultation with the Modernization Initiative Steering Committee.

What Does This Mean?

Following the appropriate debrief period, naming an apparent successful vendor allows WSU to begin contract negotiations with Workday. Assuming WSU and Workday reach agreeable terms the contract will be ready for signature by late spring to early summer 2018.

Next Steps

Up next, WSU will issue an RFP to identify an implementation partner to help implement Workday across the University.

We look forward to active involvement from subject matter experts and the University community through the evaluation of the implementation service options.

As a reminder, WSU will not sign contracts for software or services until a full implementation plan and timeline has been appropriately vetted with the WSU Board of Regents.

Thank You

We’re grateful for the many faculty and staff who participated in the software demonstrations and helped the evaluation committee make this selection.

We express our appreciation to members of the Software Assessment and Requirements Review Group (SARRG). Members of the group representing stakeholders in campuses, colleges and units across the University, spent countless hours over the last 18 months to identify software requirements, major pain points to address, and desired outcomes. Their dedication and leadership guided the creation of the successful procurement process.

We also express our appreciation to members of the Software Evaluation Team: Mike Corwin, Mollie Holt, Craig Howard, Chris Johnson, Chris Jones, Jennifer Klein, Michelle Martinez, Joy Morton, Lisa Neal, Dan Nordquist, Matt Skinner, Terresa Watson, and Fran Hermanson; with Eric Rogers serving as the WSU RFP Coordinator. We appreciate your time, effort and dedication.
