Change Management at WSU

Institutions implementing Workday who are curious about how WSU used change management and communications during our Workday implementation are welcome to explore the resources and sample materials below. Questions? Reach out to the Modernization Change Management team.

Our Story

Prior to switching to Workday, WSU used paper and computer systems designed in the 1970s to manage all of its financial and human resources activities. Beginning in 2019, WSU began the process of designing and implementing Workday for finance, grants, payroll, human resources, and reporting.

Following the launch of Workday for WSU January 2021, we continue to use change management principles to guide a robust training and communications plan as our community continues to learn about and optimize the system.

Below are resources created before, during, and after the implementation process to support the WSU community in the switch to Workday.

Implementation Phase Resources

Below are selected resources used during implementation to provide information about large and small-scale changes, timelines and due dates, project scope and impacts, and other major project activities.

Current Resources and Communications
