Emily Akin
Change Management Communications Coordinator
Emily has served the WSU community since 2017, and the Modernization Team since 2019. Her role as Change Management Communications Coordinator focuses on helping the community navigate the exciting and challenging aspects of adapting to new technologies and ways of working. She prizes communication, empathy, and creativity, and approaches her role with Modernization with these values in mind.
A born-and-raised Pacific Northwesterner, Emily resides in Palouse, Washington. Outside of work, she is a practicing theatre artist and writer, and has directed plays with the region’s colleges and community theatres for going on 7 years. When she’s not making art or change, she is fly fishing on the Clearwater.
