Time and Absence Definitions & Policies
- Time Off: Workday’s term for leave, including sick leave, annual leave, or leave without pay (LWOP).
- Leave of Absence: Workday’s term for a leave provision. An extended or intermittent time away from work, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Parental Leave that may include the use of a variety of time offs during the leave of absence event.
- Accruals: The accumulation of time off balances in the Workday Absence Management module.
- Work Schedule: The schedule according to which managers assign work to their employees.
- Time Worked: Record of the number of actual hours worked.
